The question demonstrates what happens when those opposed to EVs are given a free rein at spreading either extremely outdated ‘facts’ or complete nonsense.

Many years ago, the infrastructure was such that it was reasonably possible to run out of charge, especially with a vehicle that offered 80 miles from new.  Now you have most EVs capable of clearing 150 miles and many touching 300, plus an infrastructure that is significantly better, the chances of simply running out are pretty slim unless the driver ignores the often large display giving range remaining and the numerous beeps, pings and flashing lights telling you to find a charger.

To answer that question, though, the RAC have recharge kits in many vehicles which can put a few miles in just so you can find a charger.
