it’s never done it since I took delivery- I thought it was a feature that has been removed but low and behold it is there. I need to work out why it worked this time though- I must have had the car settings correct. I had a read up and it says that “ Assisted Lane Change can autonomously perform lane changes on motorway-type roads at speeds above 90 km/h. All the driver has to do to start the manoeuvre is switch on the direction indicator (but only in the unlocked position). Assisted Lane Change uses data from a whole range of sensors.” i guess the unlock position is having the stalk turned off? Absolutely agree on the adaptive cruise- I set it to be as far from the car in front as possible and then relax as it’s speeds up and slows down – even coming to a stop at jams.
Oh yes, deciding what you’re comfortable with for the distance between the cars is half the battle to relaxing into the automation. It’s a game changer for a driving experience!
