I am so torn about knowing if I should order now, or wait for July…….. I have a reasonable offer for Ionic 5 Premium 77Kwh battery for £549 deposit and £500 cashback. I tried to end my lease early (ends 27th Sept) but they wanted £250 + lose my £250 good condition bonus. Not sure what to do now but seeing offers in other parts of the country that would allow me to have the Ultimate Tech which is the car I really want – for same as the Premium down here…… I notice there are plenty of offers from the start of April when new prices came out last – is this usual or will deals be harder to come by?

I would say in general, the best discounts were in March, leading upto the end of Q1 and more importantly the end of the financial year. Dealers who either had stock to shift or needed car orders/sales to hit their bonus targets were offering some very good deals (free televisions aside)!

I wouldn’t say the start of Q2 was remarkable in any way. The usual suspects were giving discounts and many of the offers were, as usual, running for the whole of the current quarter or whilst stock lasted.

However, there maybe less ‘clearance offers’ in the days leading uo to the end of the current quarter than we have seen of late.

As to what Q3 will bring offers wise – who knows?

If you know of a decent offer, which you are happy with, then go for it. The way vehicles fly on and off the scheme ‘mid-quarter’ nowadays means there is no certainty anymore.
