    @wmcforum it really depends on your own specific situation. If you have a BEV it’s difficult to see past the two tariffs on Octopus Energy where you are charging, in my area, at 9p per kwh, for 4 hours and 7.5p per kwh for 6 hours

    If you have battery storage the batteries can be charged at the same cost and you can run your house all day at a cheaper rate.

    That’s why i think this topic is needed as there are a number of tariffs out there and working out which is best for you isn’t easy.

    If you are on a basic tariff then a fixed rate will let you know how much you will be charged over the fixed rate period which will give an element of piece of mind. The boffins are suggesting the price of electricity will go up at the end of the year but predicting how prices will go beyond that is difficult
