The dealer is misleading you. I had it done with my Mazda and, like Jojoe, the dealer did it whilst we were on the phone. The order between dealer and Motability is totally separate to the internal purchase order from dealer to manufacturer.
I would be more concerned that 4 months after order you still haven’t had a build date!
