Hi, I’ve had my motability vehicle for nearly 4 years. My car started shaking badly around 3 months ago and has got worse. I’ve took it to kwik fit 6 times this winter for tyre replacements and they couldn’t figure out the shajing problem. Its become a lot worse this week so I called rac today who said 3 wheels are damage, one is a lot worse. Rac said to go to kwik fit tomorrow but looking online I can’t see if this is covered on the scheme or if I would have to claim on the insurance. If it is insurance would it be 3 separate claims? You took the vehicle to 6 times this winter for tyre replacements, its seem a bit strange 3 wheels require replacement, if the tyres are fitted by an inexperienced tyre fitter the the alloy wheel can be distorted, once wheel is distorted every time the tyre is remove the distortion will get worse.
or alternative you have been unfortunate suffering damage on 6 different occasion, low profile tyre are more prone to pothole damage, however if any wheel damage has occurred they will struggle or be unable to balance the wheel and tyre.
You need to take the vehicle to the main dealership you may have sustained damage, have an underlying problem or both.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
