Lovely stuff. Got the nod last weekend from Hyundai dealer in Liverpool that the Ioniq 5 would see a big drop in AP’s, and they weren’t wrong. I’ve got the Ultimate RWD Tech on reserve (ready for my mid April order date), and it’s come down by about £1800! Result. Tempted to bump up to the Namsan for the same price i was going to pay, but don’t think it’s worth it tbh.
The big differences are the panoramic roof, heat pump and the digital mirrors. When you think the heat pump is £995 as an add on alone, the roof and mirrors plus a few little bits are relatively inexpensive.
I’ve found the mirrors useful in rainy conditions as the windows/mirror combination getting wet really messes with the view but the DSM is still clear unless you happen to get one rain drop in a well protected place.
It’s really a question of sun roof plus a money saving heat pump and a real talking point in those mirrors (I am still having conversations nearly 2 months into ownership about the mirrors).
