The 4 way block is a feed from the digital power amplifier located under the front seat. It provides a left & right channel feed to the subwoofer which is a passive unit (No self contained power or amp). If you wanted to fit a active subwoofer (power amp within the subwoofer) then you would need a separate fused 12v feed to it.
I think it’s best left as it is as any modification would affect the warranty of the car & is probably also against motability rules.
