Hi Kezo,
It appears you’re approaching this discussion from the ‘something for nothing / entitlement culture’.
If you read my post carefully you may understand that this discussion is regarding the advertising /sales promotion aspect and bmw’s position;
Motabilty provide the homecharger offer free to any of its members and finance it, regardless of the dealer. It is separate to any other promotions the car dealers may offer.
Many dealers will have their own promotions again not tied to motability and finance / operate those independently of motability.
Bmw have advertised ( independent of motability ) to all their customers purchasing an electric bmw, a credit charge card to the value of £750 etc. Now, apparently some bmw dealers say the offer is not available to motability members.
As I previously pointed out, this is perhaps what is referred to as price discrimination;
‘With price discrimination, a seller charges customers a different fee for the same product or service.’ https://www.investopedia.com/terms/p/price_discrimination.asp
N.B. Recently some motabilty members / bmw customers have posted that some bmw dealers have indeed honoured their offer;
Eg. I picked my BMW I4 Today and I received the BMW card free subscription with bp pulse and Ionity 12 month offer & the £750 credit for public as a substitute as i could not get the home charge installed. Hope this helps.?
I suppose you could say again ‘don’t believe everything you hear’
