Don’t remember saying anything about range issues, all EV batteries drop their range in winter/colder weather.  I charged my 80x to about 94% last night and predicted range by the “guessometer” this morning said 272 miles.

Having driven about 30-40 miles today it now says 77% and 221 miles range.  At a guess I’d say I was realistically getting about 220-24o miles on a charge but I’m still learning how to drive it.  This morning on a 50mph dual carriageway I was getting 4.4 miles per kWh which is pretty good, later in the day on faster roads or in start/stop traffic it varied between 2.2 and 3.4.

As examples, I do two regular trips, one to Durham and back, about 5 miles each way, about 1/4 on a 60mph A road the rest on 30mph town roads with traffic lights etc. the guessometer said I’d used 12 miles.

Second trip is to my daughters, about 9 miles each way, mainly a quiet 50mph dual carriageway and 60mph A road followed by a bit of 30mph inner city.  Last trip guessomenter said I’d used 11 miles.

Not many EV’s will do a 240 mile trip fully loaded in winter, in summer the 85x range should be nearer 300 or more with careful driving, like all cars flooring it will increase fuel consumption, driving smoothly will decrease it be it petrol, diesel or electrons.

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
