The dash cam I was looking at for the Enyaq just plugs into the rain sensor power supply by a piggyback connector. So, in theory it can be un-plugged! And the way it fits, it causes no damage, just replaces a piece of trim which can be replaced later.
I would imagine Motability are concerned about damage to interior trims more than anything, or poorly Carried out DIY installs causing electrical damage which, is fair on their part.
