This is worrying. How are some dealers able to keep their customers slot yet others are not. Surely they all have access to one system. my order still says sport in the motability site despite emailing my dealer . Everyday i bother the poor genius guys making sure its m sport and asking the same questions. this sport to m sport has caused too many problems for people here. People have already waited 6 months plus and another 6 months is unfair.

My dealer told me that it was to do with production lines or something and that allocation spots for Sports are for Sports only and the same M Sports and any other car they build. So if someone cancels their Sport and opts for an M Sport they will get a slot in the M Sport calendar and the cancelled Sport slot will still go build a Sport for someone else.
I’d asked earlier in the week and he called me yesterday with that update. But I’m sticking with the Sport anyway. Thought I’d share that info if it helps anyone.
