She had a mobility car as an appointee for her very disable Daughter who has now gone into a care home so the car was given back about a month ago. My friend has now just been awarded mobility for herself so can think about getting a car herself. Does she get the 750? Even though she had a mobility car before as an appointee? Thanks all. I would say yes, as she would be classed as a new customer!
I’m an appointee for our disabled daughter. The car itself is in her name, even though she is not old enough to drive quite yet and I just serve as her appointee. So if your friend joined the scheme the car would be in her name as a new customer.
