“I am toying with whether to trade in my Discovery for a diesel auto Ineos Grenadier“
That’s interesting Dave, what are the reviews like on the Grenadier, have you tested one?
To be honest, I don’t bother with other people’s reviews.
At the Great Yorkshire Show last summer I spoke with Ineos and arranged for our farming business to get one on trial for two weeks. I rather monopolised it whilst it was here!
It put me back in the thought of driving a ‘proper’ Land Rover of old (which I drove in the military) as opposed to the lightweight/plastic LR product currently in production.
The Ineos is certainly more rugged than the current LR Defender and despite trying to get it stuck in atrocious weather on our off-road circuit and on the tops of the Dale, I couldn’t.
Ultimately the farming business may replace the older Defenders with them and I want one for myself.
I really like them, albeit I do find the Discovery probably more comfortable on a longer road run – which is ultimately what I bought the BMW X6 for.
