With vehicles going EV, there is no need for dealerships or servicing and manufacturers will follow Teslas model.
It will mean a new infrastructure will emerge, probably what Motability have done with other services. Farm it out to a service company, just the way they deal with tyres, insurance. Who knows, the new car could be delivered to your door in a few years time, by DeliverCar-oo or something.
There will be plenty of prime real estate going when the dealerships shut up shop.
