I got the Kodiaq 1.4TSi when it came out in 2017 and never had a single issue with it, either pulling away or cruising on the motorway. So unless you plan to drive it like you stole it, or using it for house removals, the 1.5TSi will be an excellent car for you.
I changed the Kodiaq for the Tarraco FR Sport back in 2021 as it has everything included. It’s not as well built as the the Kodiaq, and not as comfortable a ride, but then Seat is the sportier branch of VAG. The 1.5TSi is more than enough for the size of vehicle in my opinion.
On the Kodiaq Facebook forum it looks like the Kodiaqs and being delivered quicker now, probably due to the new model coming out in the new. So I would say wait for your Kodiaq to arrive. Plus the fact that Seat will no longer produce cars from 2025.
