Very good post MFillingham. I think you’ve just answered our question. Motability have listed the Ioniq 5 Ultimate specifically with and without the tech pack with the TP version costing £500 more as an advanced Payment. This obviously means that the tech pack will be covered by insurance. However, if you also order a very expensive optional heat pump (non standard on 5 but standard on 6) would that be covered? Nothing’s simple is it.

Absolutely nothing is simple. I’d argue that risk needs to be taken into account as well. Enyaq’s Crystal face is somewhat exposed while a heat pump would be in amongst the workings under the Froot (frunk?). That difference in risk means I’d be more inclined to have a heat pump over Enyaqs Advance Pack.
