I’ve just spent some time with the local Hyundai dealership.  Sat in an Ioniq 5 as a reminder then looked at the new Kona, which has front charging, so is useless for my needs as we can only reverse into the drive. Then sat in the Ioniq 6.

Because I said my priority was to see if I could get in/out and sit in comfortably, they pointed me at a nearly new Premium in red.  Firstly, and somewhat surprisingly, I could get in and out including not having to excessively bend my knees to get in.  Seats were comfortable enough and I’d be keen to see if the Ultimate ones would be much different.  I prefer the black surrounds for the screens and actually preferred the centre console and window switches in the middle.

The boot is a great size, although rather deep but thin and the access is better than I expected.  It’s a very well equipped car even at a ‘basic’ level.

All in all it’s a great car, it’ll stand out in a car park and has great range.  With V2L and the 800v architecture, there’s a lot going for it.

I'll try to give my honest opinion but am always open to learning.
