definitely contact motability as you are so early on into your lease, they’re great. I had a VW Tiguan 2.0 DSG R Line ordered Feb 2021 and was Delivered Nov 2021. Come Winter 2022 and start of 2023 I had this continuous fault and it was confirmed and a 5 month wait for repair (unreasonable) a known fault (travel assist unavailable pinging every 30 seconds on hours round trips) and a backlog for replacement parts, anyway Motability and Dealers had conversations and agreed that I could hand the car back and get something else, I was in Dealers loan car, so I went back to what I knew a Ford Kuga but this time the ST Line X and I went back to a manual as my previous Kuga was a manual (non motability car).\
Anyway fast forward I have been diagnosed with a medical condition ontop of others that is giving me great difficulty driving a manual especially as I drive 2 hours per day term time, its been exhausting. I have only had the car since March 2023 and had to pay a £250 exit fee to start a new order/application which I processed the very next day (a week after informing them they told me to test drive cars then go back and process the cancellation) which I did.
Still got an 8 month wait for a new car, so will be using the Kuga minimally or asking the OH to drive as he usually does weekends but my god! the difference I have gone for a VW Golf same engine/ transmission/ bhp as the Tiguan and I can confirm the drive is much nicer and comfortable compared to the Kuga, didn’t I notice how stiff it was on the way home from the test drive, Made sure the golf didn’t include the travel assist though! Definitely contact them and explain.
Edit- forgot to add test drove a Kuga PHEV it was loud and jerky and I was asked to rate it out of 10 by the salesperson and I gave it a generous 7 which she said was low. I told her I didn’t like it. clearly. I also test drove an Audi A3 and the 1.0 115bhp is too slow for me A roads to B roads to Dual tracks but im pretty rural and have minimal road for overtaking tractors so needed something quick- ish.
