Let’s compare the Enyaq for acceleration against what you’d get from a similar ICE car. The Kodiaq VRS gets to 62 in 6.6 seconds, the 80x (Non-VRS) is 6.9 which isn’t far off the sports version from ICE, the VRS Enyaq achieves only 6.2 seconds.
None of them are particularly quick but look at what you’re driving, 550litre boot capacity and comfortably sitting 5 for a long journey. If it was a hot hatch or 2 seater with your butt inches off the road, yes, you’d expect lightening acceleration but that’s not the Enyaq. At least there’s one benefit, imagine the power consumption of blasting off the lights to hit 62 in 3 or 4 seconds, you’d have a clear choice, a range of 300 miles or a huge grin at the charger.
