I have to say my experience of Ohme was also very poor (to say the least).
I had no problem doing the survey and submitting more info when asked.
Then it came to a reply of “We can’t fit a charger as it’s going over public access”
It isn’t, all I need from them is to supply and fit the Pod charger to the wall etc., no cable. I’m providing the cable to the vehicle and using a fully approved ducted channel set into the footpath.
So I ring them back and explain it all again and she says fine, 5 minutes later rings me back and says manager says no we can’t do that.
Then I find out that the company supplying the cable channel (Kerbocharge) are already fitting the same system in conjunction with Ohme and local councils all over the country so Ohme not only know about the system but are actually already using it!.
My housing association are also being useless, almost 6 weeks since I was promised a call from my local patch manager re the approval to screw the box to a wall. Two more emails and even my MP has been in touch with them and still no reply. This morning I rang them again and asked how to make a formal complaint or get in touch with the ombudsman. Once again they promised my patch manager will ring me asap.
At least the council have been out to see where the channel will go, there’s some slight damage to the existing footpath but they will sort that at the same time so at least it looks like that will be sorted and will only cost me £300!, so at least I’ll be able to legally run a granny charger to the car if I have to.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
