The Cupra Formentor is the muttius nuttius….
Like no other car driving on our roads, it’s very unique, where as all you’ll see out and about, when your driving about is the Mazda. Nothing wrong with that. And Mazda are my favourite far east manufacturer….
Will definitely be purchasing, not motability, purchasing a Mazda 5 RF before I leave this earth…. So, read on…
Nearly bought the CX5 just over 2 years ago, and then went for the Mercedes A Class instead. Why I came to this decision, I just turned 50, and the Mercedes felt like a present to myself, where as I thought, in 3-5 years time, I’ll consider the CX5 then….
Well, what’s scappered all that idea, is now when I see any Mazda SUV now a days, I feel:
A – They all look like the CX5, and it’s made the CX5 look dated compared to all the offerings in the last 2 years from all the other manufacturers, especailly the Cupra Formentor, and due to all the other X versions so looking like the CX5, there so many of them now, I think they’ve became quite common….. And no longer that suv with just a little something different….
If you want to blend in, go for the Mazda.
If you want to stand out from the crowd, and have to bat those questions away from curious onlookers when appearing back at the car after the weekly shop, go for the Formentor.

Loads of video clips, and loads of info in the post that will show you my love for that car, although ultimately due to my disability, it going to be a little awkward for me to get in and out of the car, as it is a sport suv, and much lower to the ground than the suv I eventually chose.
Hate how much my body can get in the way of obvious choices nowadays. Why I’m giving up the Mercedes A Class AMG Premium PLUS, cos I love my car, my body just doesn’t, and the same with Cupra which felt in the same class as the Mercedes.
Although the car I’ve ended up finding, and putting a deposit on. Can’t believe my luck. And still buzzing 24 hours later.
