How often do cars get added mid quarter? Looking to see is BMX ix1 may join of thoughts on Genesis please
The days of additions to the scheme being restricted to the four Quarter change dates have long gone. Cars come and go on a daily basis now.
You may have heard that BMW are launching a lower powered iX1 that will be around £7k cheaper than the current model. I suspect that there’s a greater chance of that car joining the scheme than the current version. It will depend on what the private demand is like though, as we tend to get what isn’t shifting. I would have said that demand from private buyers might mean that we shouldn’t hold our breath, but as private buyers are only accounting for 7 or 8% of EV sales and the cut off dates have moved 5 years out they will have to rely on lease sales to shift it. In a way we might have more chance of seeing the iX1 than the X1, which is exceptionally popular with private buyers.
I doubt that Genesis will join any time soon but Hyundai seem to embrace Motability more than many other brands so you never know.
