As above, with Octopus Intelligent you get 6hrs at the 7.5p kWh rate (23:30 – 06:30) but many have reported still getting that rate well after the 06:30 cut off point.
Even at normal rate (27p kWh) it’s considerably cheaper per mile than petrol/diesel and around 1/2 the price of using local chargers (40 – 59p kWh) or high speed chargers (75-99p kWh).
For me a charge from say 20% to 80% once a week or less would be £4.50 and cover my usual weekly mileage. At say 120 miles a week my current Ateca @ 35mpg would use just over 3 gal (14L) of petrol at about £21.50. On mainly short journeys, local shops etc. it’s even cheaper as there’s no way I get 35mpg on those.
