    As for EVs, the industry is saying that they think that the ‘early adopter’ stage is coming to an end, so they will have to work harder to convert the next tranche of people. Again, hiking prices won’t do this when the price premium is already one of the biggest stumbling points. As I said before, October’s APs may have been agreed before some of this info was known, especially the postponement of the 2030/35 cut off, but I can see APs on EVs dropping over the coming months and years.

    I can see AP’s for BEV’s being as cheap as chips next year (well sort of) when government sales targets come in, especially if sales to early adopters are slowing. To reinforce this further, take up by retail customers have only ever reached 7% of market share, so  manufacturers will be relying on the leasing market even more.
