Hi I want to get a notability car -quick … but everywhere I go – they say it has to be ordered and waiting time is 3/4 months . As no one keeps them in stock now Does anyone have any experience of how to get a notability car quick ?
To get any sensible answers you need to let us know what car you are after, as the answer will differ massively by manufacturer and model.
As a general point, whilst it is sometimes possible to get a car from stock, this will usually only be for less popular models, those that are due a facelift / model change, cancelled orders, or where a dealer needs to clear space for newer deliveries etc.
Motability pay a set handling fee per car, but dealers make far more money out of their sales targets through bonuses and / or additional discounts on their purchases. As a car that is in stock has already triggered all of this, they will generally want to place a new factory order, selling the stock car to a private customer as they make more money from private sales.
