Hi Shaine, since sending the survey off I take it you haven’t heard anything or had an update what will be happening next?

It will be highly unlikely your DNO will allow Ohme to install a charger without the DNO carrying out a minor works order to de-loop your supply from your neighbour. Ohme will scheduale al the work so there is nothing for you to worry about.

If you are looped of your neighbour, the loop will be disconnected and a new supply connected to your home. The DNO will have to dig 2 or 3 holes in your driveway so they can install a new supply to your property. Your cutout (fuse) will be upgraded to 80A or 100A

If your neighbour is looped of you, the opposite will happen as they will need to de-looped from your supply. The DNO will then need to install a new supply into your neighbours property, meaning all the installation work is carried out on their property! It is advisable to be upfront with your neighbour this may be the case. If you are both on good terms there is rarely a problem. Any holes the DNO need to dig are and refill to return the driveway back to as was are usually to a high standard! (your neighbour will benifit from their own supply and higher rated cutout)
