Who sets the AP? Motability or the manufacturer? I suspect the others have a high AP due to heavy depreciation, so the AP is covering motability losing out when the cars sold. Those are all built on their old tech and partnerships this is a reboot of the company.
I’ve always wondered how the AP is calculated and who controls it. I’ve always assumed it’s down to the sales price the manufacturer gives motability per car, then put thru a formula and they get the AP.
Imho I suspect how accessible these are to the scheme will depend on retail orders. Not selling well goes straight onto the scheme, loads of retail orders and it doesn’t. That’s just my suspicions anyway. I don’t have any knowledge about how any of it works.
