I mainly agree @Brydo and believe you have said the ultimate word “strong armed” which I think was one of people’s main objections with 2030. Now we have moved the date inline with the rest of the democratic world, more so the rest of Europe. I believe this will be better tollerated anf maybe the icing on the cake!
Whether one is better than the other I think is down to personal opinion. Whether the world is really going through a man made warming period or its just a natural occurance doesn’t really matter how or why. What matters is no one wants to fry and believe the climate is changing to some degree, meaning most are are onboard to some degree. Whether BEV’s or the way their materials are mined is the answer I don’t know and guess we won’t be around to find out! Equally if the climate poses such a risk as is being made out, then carbon offsetting isn’t a plausable answer as your just moving the goalposts 🙂
Yes and perahaps I’m to engulphed in batter tech as you know. However, alot of the semi solid state battey’s that claim 620 miles are based on the more lenient NEDC cycle but, I guess technology will improve over the next decade! Currently I dont believe WLTP or another test is suitable for EV’s and less so than petrol cars due to the drop in range during colder winter months. Currently winter range is the main thing thats stopping me from switching!
Take care Brydo 🙂
