My has a motabilty car that I part exchanged my car for. I do voluntary work for the red cross but she doesn’t. Can I still do the voluntary work if she’s not present?
You’d be fine Richard. The rules are in place to allow Motability to terminate a lease where there is blatant abuse (such as a parent or grandparent getting the car with their allowance, but it being used 100% of the time by a child or grandchild who lives elsewhere and hardly ever sees them), not to prevent normal car usage between partners who live together and only need one car.
Your situation is similar to ours. My wife is the PIP holder but can no longer drive, so we only need one car nowadays. I pay for the AP. We also live in a semi-rural location with no public transport, so I have to use the car to get anywhere, including voluntary work that I do.
