Personally I think it’s not bad at all. Admittedly there isn’t the choice there used to be and yes, some of the advanced payments are very high. Ok if you can afford them but personally I think they go against the whole Motability ethos of affordable motoring for those who might otherwise have to go without a car.
On the other side of the coin I think that there are a lot of great cars out there for not a lot of money, indeed 93 for £0 ap. New Megane techno £995, Kia Niro ev £995 etc etc All shapes and sizes to cater for a wide range of needs. If I’m being honest I think most people ( me included) tend to overthink things a little. We tend to get bogged down with the little things like heads up display, wireless charging, B & O sound systems etc. All lovely things to have but rarely essential.
Personally I think that the scheme offers great value for money especially with a 20k mileage allowance.
Obviously this is just my personal opinion and my needs are not the same as everyone else’s but it works for us.
