Have had a reluctance to switch to an EV car, mainly due to range and cost / time of charging away from home. Enjoyed an Audi Q3 S line + Diesel and currently a BMW X1 sport x drive D extended lease to 5 years haven’t found anything on Motability that tempted me.
Until the BMW i4 35 sport came on. Long test drive last week was surprised by how easy it was to get into/out of, comfort, and effortless performance. Real world range of 200/240 miles (leaving 20% left in the battery) means apart from longer trips 95% of charging can be done at home.
Taken the plunge and ordered one, delivery next April. Feels a massive step to a petrol head going electric. AP of £4999, less £500 from Marshalls, £750 from Mobility and £550 from a good condition bonus makes it affordable to us. An increasingly wide range of EV’s on the scheme, that’s the way things are going.
