tvs, Kezo. Do you not find a dry shave makes your skin dry and irritated? It just felt awful when ever I tried it. I think I’ve been foam wet shaving far too long to change.

I suffer many skin condition and find it doesn’t irritate or make my skin dry since I got use to it after say a month of shaving. I also use aftershave balm.

My Braun series 5 has 3 foil cutting surfaces, whereas the series 8 and 9 have more. Pansonic have up to 5. The more cutting sufaces the less it will irritate and dry out your skin because, you take less passes to cut your stubble. The design of Phillips and Remington round cutting surfaces ripped m face apart pulling each hair out, to the extent I looked like a beetroot after shaving! Where as the Braun and indeed Panasonic was much kinder to my skin.

Braun can be quite expensive compared to Panasonic especially as you go up the series. My 5 series battery is wearing down and not holding charge after many years and I plan to get the Panasonic ARC5 ot LV series. You can also get them with a cleaning station which my braun has but can be a pain and the added purchase of cleaning cartridge (alchol). I tend these days to vlean my with isopropol alcohol which is the same thing but, you only really need to do that if you use it for wet shaving with shaving foam. A swill under the tap surfices!
