    CATL and Volkswagen have developed a close partnership with an eye to future cooperation. Volkswagen’s Group and its joint venture EV fleets of MEB and MQB platforms equipped among others with CATL batteries, along with their low-voltage system with CATL 12V and 48V batteries.

    In the future, the two parties will continue to strengthen corporation, give play to their respective professional advantages, and jointly create carbon neutral-oriented products of superior quality.

    CATL becomes the first cell manufacturer received Volkswagen Group’s test lab qualification certificate in the world, showing that CATL’s outstanding testing capability has been recognized by the global leading automotive manufacturer, and also strengthening the cooperation between CATL and Volkswagen Group Components.

    BMW announced in 2018 that it would buy €4 billion worth of batteries from CATL for use in the electric Mini and iNext vehicles, which will be built in China alongside the O?ra brand for the European market.

    CATL’s first European plant in the central German city of Erfurt, which has allowed the company to build close ties with European Manufacturers. CATL announced expansion that will see it build a second European plant in Hungary after an investment of €7.3 billion in partnership with Mercedes-Benz. The new facility is designed to produce 100GWh output and will also supply other European car-makers the Volkswagen Group, BMW and Stellantis.

    CATL’s battery technology is currently used by electric vehicle manufacturers in the international market, and CATL collaborates with companies including BMW, Daimler AG, Hyundai in certain markets, Honda, Li Auto, NIO, PSA, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen, Volvo and XPeng. In China, its clients include BAIC Motor, Geely, GAC Group, Yutong Bus, Zhongtong Bus, Xiamen King Long, SAIC Motor and Foton Motor.

    I guess you will no longer be wanting an EV, if it contains Chinese cheap tat! ?
