Problem with the Kuga apart from the fire risk with the PHEV is they aren’t quick 0-60 and considering I’m more akin to spirited driving lol. Then I need I largish SUV, full leather seats, electric tailgate which narrows it down to next to no vehicles.
The Kuga PHEV Vignale s about £5.6k, CX60 excusive £6.2k with dealer discount, Across £7k and the Tuscon £5.5k which has the lowest battery range. Asides that I wouldnt have another Tuscon – all that piano black is like a dust magnet.
The Kia Sportage, Nissan Qashqui and Xtrail hybrids don’t come in high enough trims to offer full leather or faux. Nor did the Renault Austral but, the dog box type autobox is over complicated anyway.
Petrol alone is costing me a bomb with a 30mpg average with this size car and near on £2500 on petrol and not halfway through lease yet, so my dodgy brain said PHEV for local economy and take the brunt when visiting family hoping for 40ish mpg in hybrid mode!
Above all I don’t know what to do hence asking you, as an EV is not an option now.
