People forget that currently 35-40 percent of electric comes from burning gas. As the electric produced is all mixed in on the national grid no one receives 100% green electric.
Where one of my mates lived, a gas powered power station was built upwind of his village. The fumes that come out of the chimneys and blows over the village was and is unreal. He was convinced it was the power station emissions that gave him lung cancer. Those who put babies next to their allegedly clean exhaust pipes don’t look at the damage and pollution that is being caused upstream in the electricity generating process.
All they are doing is move their emissions onto some other poor sods.
People need to think about those further up the chain a bit more.
