The thing is, BEV and ICE cars are probably more similar than you realise.
My previous ICE cars rarely got the MPG claimed by the manufacturer. And I doubt the BEV will get the range mentioned in the glossy brochures. That’s the reality.
Everything you do affects the MPG or the range negatively. HVAC, open windows, speed, tyre pressures and weight.
In addition to the BEV I have a diesel vehicle and I really do not like going to a garage to fill it up and all that that entails.
At the end of the day, if you think it will not work for you, it probably will not and that is fine.
BUT if you think it might work and you can have a home charge point, I’d say give it a go, you might be pleasantly surprised. I have no regrets with the BEV and it is a great driving experience.
