so my latest update is a comedy show
So after they told me that my delivery has changed again to Oct/Nov, my brother went to the branch and absoloutely went mental on them. He ended speaking to a manager and he looked at my application status and he said and i quote “your astra has not hit the production line yet”
Bare in mind i ordered this April 2022 and not its 14 months and my car hasnt even hit production (absoloute lie)
Mr brother said he will cancel the application an they said that they will source another Astra, same spec except alloys are different and that car will be here guaranteed WC 17/07/23. In front of my brother he ordered it from another dealership, a car that someone ordered 6 months ago (retail not mobility) has already arrived and they’d give me that
In the meantime i gave up so i rang all the dealership within a 15 mile radious to see if they hvae a car available to drive away right away, got through to a Ford Dealership, they had a Puma ST Line that i could drive away today, they had a few others at another Ford dealership but not in automatic which is what i want.
My brother told me what happened so i cancelled with Ford a i was expecting the car from Vauxhall now
Get a call on Thursday, the car they were going to source to me has been SOLD!!!, apprently it was sold at the same time the manager ordered the transfer to come to his dealership and they didnt know until SEVEN!!! days later.
Whats even worse is that the car that got sold, didnt even go to the guy who actually it was ordered for, it was given to someone who walked in and was paying cash, no finance on it, according to the manager.
So i rang Ford back up, and im taking the Puma, not what really wanted spec wise and the colour is a “special colour” and that alone would cost me £250 (hoping i can get them to wave that) but its a car sat on the lot and no need to wait for the car to arrive.
What did we learn? Vauxhall lie out of their backside, the fact they were willing to give me someone elses ordered car because my brother complaint, tells me all i need to know, my car came and they gave it to someone else and then reordered mine, why else would the status of my car still be waiting to go into production
