Be careful with EV tariffs
Im with Scottish power and considered Octopus. Yes the night rate is cheap but when I checked thier day rate was 30% more expensive than Scottish power.
I can’t move any of my normal usage such as washing machine etc to night use.
When I calculated the difference between staying with Scottish power and going to Octopus , Scottish power still came out cheaper.
OVO energy came out better than Octopus as their day rate is cheaper.
Morale of the story is make sure you do the maths to see if changing is worth it.
