I’m deeply saddened to see this issue raise its ugly head again, although it is at least a bit more factual than Richard Littlejohn’s Daily Mail article of some years ago.
I fear that this has been waiting to happen for some time since PIP and Blue Badges were opened up to those with mental health issues such as anxiety. Whether we agree with that change or not, it’s a difficult ‘sell’ to the public at large, especially in the current climate when so many people are struggling, especially the ‘squeezed middle’ in low to mid paid jobs with no benefit income whatsoever.
I just hope that, unlike last time, Motability fight back, correct the half truths and hold steady and don’t knee jerk into making changes to a scheme that has already been decimated (unless you want and can afford a very expensive EV).
