How old is the car?
In ours, we only get live traffic updates etc for the first three years. Didn’t even know we had it until recently our GTE talked unprompted and suggested a redirect.
Our GTE is MIB3, depending on age yours might be MIB2 – not sure how applicable it is in that case. In our case, we have it as long as we’re subscribed to “We Connect Plus” – which is for three years (included in the purchase of the car).

If your car recently clocked its third birthday, that could be why.
