Very much a replay of a rear-end shunt I had just over a year ago. The chap behind me willingly admitted it was his fault and the after-conversations were very sociable. Hopefully it all works out just as well for you – especially with the evidence at hand. My only reason for posting is that I really do wish Motability took the initiative here with dashcams and made them standard on all their cars. It wasn’t too long ago that people were posting here saying Motability positively forbade the install of dashcams (if I remember correctly) which seems to be a very strange position for what if effectively a very large group insurance policy. Especially where Motability insured drivers may well have obvious disabilities and be seen as potential easy targets for blame from the perspective of the other party involved.
I was under impression Motability if the live feed was connected it had to been carried out by dealership, however there was not an issue if it was connected through the vehicle 12v outlet (cigarette lighter), you can understand they do not want any DIY electric to their lease vehicle.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
