i don’t know if i speak for the majority but these cars with a £4k + AP might as well not be on the scheme . i certainly don’t have that kind of money to splash out i know the world has changed and non of it is motabilities fault but they have changed their guide lines so many times in the last 10 years
This discussion has been had many times, on one hand there’s those who have to survive without employment, on the other there’s those who can work sufficiently to have a decent amount of money or who have money from elsewhere and don’t feel it’s right to be limited to budget driving.
I know I couldn’t dream of accessing a new car without the scheme but that doesn’t mean that a combination of what I’m used to driving, what I need and what I can pay (this time at least) shouldn’t be on the scheme. Yes, life would be a lot better if APs returned to where they were some 5 years ago but that’s unlikely to happen any time soon.
