There is indeed a certain interest in this niche product. The Forester would certainly suit my driving style, and my eyes are open on mpg.
The Volvo we’re running currently is a 2 litre turbo petrol 2wd with an auto box. I drive it in comfort mode, and given that our mileage us low, and there are a lot of short journeys, mpg is mostly low, albeit decent on longer runs.
As for what spec of Subaru, if any, make it on, who knows ??♂️.
These things are never predictable. They may not join at all.
If they do join, the may only offer the XV. That vehicle would be no good for me as its too compact with a small boot, but it may suit some.
A dealer that i’ve liased with and who is in contact with the importer IM Group, suggested only the XV would make it on to begin with. More recently that same dealer has suggested the Forester in Sport spec may make it on.
Its all going on behind the scenes, and they may surprise us all and put a wide offering on.
Just gotta wait and see.
