At no stage do you enter into a legally binding contract with the dealer, so you are free to cancel at any time. Ideally, don’t pay for any optional extras up front. Whilst the dealer is obliged to refund you, some make it difficult. Personally, I would never cancel once the car has been built, but technically you can do so right up until the day of collection when you put your PIN to accept the car. That is when the legally binding contract (with Motability Operations) kicks in.
Thanks Glos Guy… Its not my intention to cancel but id like the option.. Ive had every lease extension possible. Due to covid, less car options etc I have found it really difficult to find something suitable and now that 4wheel drive options are all but gone on the cars that are suitable for me, I’m left with little option but to order and hope the options improve…
