Do you know what the new price was you you took the lease out? Be interesting to know how much MB made from your lease.

I didn’t see the sales invoice, but Retail OTR was about £38k. I paid an AP of £1649. So deducting that, plus VAT and assuming Motability got a 10% discount from the manufacturer, that means they paid about £27.5k. So that’s effectively a loss to MB of £6,350, but also need to add in cost of 2 services (£200 each), 1 MOT (£40) and 3 years insurance (£350), and the GCB (£700) which comes to £2,190. So total cost to MB of £8,540. So, clearly MB are still making around £2k from this (based on DLA higher rate), but I haven’t factored in any money financing costs, staff, overheads, etc.

Maybe quote those figures to them in a letter and try get a discount. They can only say no.
