I’m a near identical opposite to you. I am an Englishman through and through, who happens to live in Wales, due to the need Wales needing my skillset in the emergency services, namely the Police and ambulance 🙂
You will be aware that Wales was officially recognised as a country inside of Great Britain, by the influential International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), with the code GB-WLS or GB-CYM. This now makes Wales a contituent unit/country of GB and no longer seen as a Principality, though it it hasn’t really been a Principality for hundreds of years.
