JoJoe – the Cambourne (with a ‘U’) I believe is in Cambridgeshire.  The Cornish one is Camborne and there’s a whole line of new Superchargers just off the A30 but you’ll need to be aware that coming off the west bound carriageway you need to turn into what looks like someone’s drive before turning to the chargers.

Why does everyone pick on driving to Cornwall as an example of how difficult EVs are?  Try living here and having to get out in one…   To be able to charge on route, from Camborne/Redruth you’ll need to be able to get 110 miles to the charging at Exeter Services.  Seems easy when you look at WLTP numbers but they can change quite quickly – A Mk1 ZS claims 163 miles WLTP, it can get close around town, on a run in summer it’ll achieve 120 miles at 60 but in winter, without using heating, that’ll drop to 95, with heating take another 25-30 miles off.  Now you’re charging just to get to the nearest motorway.

All that said, my last, current and next cars are all electric.
