Hello, I ordered an Elegance in December 2021 and the build week has been constantly postponed for over a year now – its currently May. It was a good deal – so are they just playing it out in the hope I will go elsewhere ? Replies appreciated. Ged

No I don’t think there playing you along as many other none Motability customers are also waiting for their cars.
I got my Tiguan in February after a 15 month wait and your thoughts you have also crossed my mind but it is just down to the manufacturers supply issues, that appear to be improving now.
Mine was the R-Line version and since the turn of the year there seems to be a big push to clear the backlog on cars with that trim although some are still waiting but I’ve noticed the past few weeks that VW have started to push out more Elegances so lets hope yours is one of them.
There’s no ryme or reasoning to the way they deliver these cars as some are still waiting and have the same spec as myself but order months before me while other have delivery come through in a few months.
On top of all this the dealer is kept in the dark as much as we are so will give some strange replies when asking where your car is. Meanwhile have you thought about joining the tiguanforums where you will find a spreadsheet of folk who have had there cars delivered and those who are still waiting, this gives a good indication that its not just we Motability customers that are suffering.
