Crampton and Moore have the LG A2 Oled at £635 returned 5 year warranty and PRC direct have at £625 brand new with 5 year warranty as you have said OLED beats lcd led and this qled samsung 80b
Crampton and Moore would price match PRC or any other higher street retailer.
Lets get the easy bit over with Q80b will be much brighter than the A2, however theA2 will have more clarity. From there on the Q80B looses in almost every other area, apart from black crush out of the box. However it is very easily sorted on OLED, so I tend not to mention it.
The Q80b has a full array backlight with 4×12 array making a total of 48 local dimming zones. This is better than a standard LCD TV with no dimming zones. However a total of 48 dimming zones is not alot when compared other higher end TV’s. In comparison the A2 does not need a backlight and will have over 8bn dimming zones, with each pixel able turn off afjust brightness or colour. L(C(E)D TV’s suufer more with motion handling, blooming due to requiring a backlight, and a much higher contrast ratio (blacks) etc etc.
Rtings is an industry standard site, a bit like HDTV test that goes into details you won’t understand so don’t fry your brain over them. However if you look at the basic number scores you will beable to gather the A2 is far better and when looking at the images there is not an awfull lot in the brightness level when clarity is taken into account.
Anything figures your unsure of ask, but I’m away later this evening and won’t be on till tomoorow or sun afternoon.
